How do I claim ownership of my listing?
Take control of your listing and earn the Verified badge by proving you own the company's domain.
Updated
Starting a claim
Open your listing on the bench and select "Claim", or go directly to /claim/<listing>. You will be asked to prove you control the company's domain. Pick one of four methods:
- We send a secret link to an inbox at your company's domain
- Place a DNS TXT record on the root domain
- Add a meta tag to your homepage
- Upload a small verification file to your website
Each method takes a few minutes. Codes you receive are valid for 14 days; if yours has expired, you can start the process again.
What ownership gives you
Once verified, you become the listing owner (if it was unclaimed before). This lets you edit the listing details directly. You also receive the Verified badge, which signals to visitors that you control the domain.
What the badge means
Verified is separate from votes and paid placement. The badge simply confirms domain control and is never sold. It does not rank you higher or alter how votes are counted. Your listing's readout remains determined by visitor votes alone.
